Topic: tried all this didnt work. what else ?

4v sputtering under accelleration, put new fuel filter, spark plugs, checked 02s just in case, injector cleaner, and i always use 91 octane. cant find where there could be a vacum leak.......suggestions? ...thanks !

how much vacuum does it pull at idle?

dont have a vacum gauge how else can i check that i mean iam sure its a vacum leak i just cant find where i prayed ether near all the possible places i thought it could be and nothing the rpms stayed the same and like i said it only does it when i give it gas

my 4v had a vacuum leak at the egr gasket (it was torn) and behaved the same, ran like shit part throttle, drove great full throttle, and idled perfect. Drove me crazy until I found that when I was tearing the intake manifold off to check everything.

You may have to bite the bullet and take it into a shop unless you have or can borrow a fuel pressure gauge, but check fuel pressure under load. A weak fuel pump can show good fuel pressure at idle but will drop off under load and can cause the vehicle to sputter. [ July 23, 2009, 03:14 AM: Message edited by: S351-R ]
