the block I got is a 72 block..so is a 2 piece seal..will this give me a problem down the line..or how can I extra seal it ..meaning wut can I do to the seal for it to work like a one piece..thanks in advance for the help

I had trouble w/ a mexican block that i used to run same shit like the 289 hi-po... It leacked on me w/ three seals i put in that thing .
The forth one ddnt leak i put it flush w both the cap and the block... some ppl have one side of the seal 3/8ths above both the block and cap THAT NEVER WORKED FOR ME!
If i remeber it was a felpro product and it wasnt the regular black seal it was a orange red color made of a better material.

Yea thas wut I heard ..use the 3/16 seal and put it kinda sideways..so that way it won't leak...but I guess imma juss go wit mounting it flush..thanks bro

Ive seen them leak through the main cap itself where it mates to the block,I usually rub a LITTLE bit of silicone on the face of the main cap where it mounts onto the block,and do like you said offset the seal when you put it in.I put a small dab of silicone where the seal mate also.Dont forget the seal is supposed to go in a certain way too.
