This has been a long time coming. When I bought my vert (a LONG time ago) the previous owner had his name airbrushed in pink on the rear of the Saleen wing. Now, to each is own, but I'm not gonna rock some other dudes name in pink airbrush on my car. Of course I had an easier time removing the chrome wheel well pieces, and I was able to get all of the stickers off of the quater windows. But I've never taken off a layer of paint. It's been living on my black car under some electrical tape and just knowing it's there creeps me out.
It doesn't have to be a professional job, the car will get repainted eventually, I just want to know the basics of how to get it off. What grit sand paper, anything else that has to go on it.
Oh, and If your name is Perry, and you want a custom Saleen wing for your vert, I have one for sale

If it doesn't have clear over it you could use some 3m rubbing compound( like a fine grit ) get yourself a mothers paint powerball a drill and go to town. Just go slow and be careful not to dig in their to far.... Worst case you have to get your wing repainted.... But I'd take that chance to get some other dudes name off my car [ June 09, 2009, 10:06 PM: Message edited by: slowback67 ]
