Hey what's up, so I installed a Hooker super comp set of headers and O/R H Pipe this weekend. Now it seems like my car has no bottom end. It's an 87 converted to MAF, with just bolt ons such as underdrive pullies, BBK CAI, 93 ecu and MAF, 2 chamber flows, stage 2 shift kit and 3.73's. Now am I just too anxious too notice results, and will it take awhile for the ECU to reprogram itself? Or what's going on?
Seems like it had more power before! UGH!

does it studder, or jus seem like you have no bottom end, because basically you lose some bottom end but gain a ton of top end with no cats to hold you back.
you have more back pressure with the cats (torque) and with no cats less torque but more horse power.
take it on the freeway and youll feel the difference.

Nah I plugged everything back in correctly, its just doesn't seem the same but it shouldn't I guess with not much back pressure, I feel the power later on in the rpm range too.

Same thing happened when I went from a stock throttle body to a 70mm, I had lost a lot of bottom end but gained a lot more top end power.

Throw some timining in the bi***! Freeing up the exhiast should let us put a bit more timing in it, maybe that will help. Or put some gears in it.

My bad I missed that part! Try giving it some timing.
