Wusp fellas, I have a 1997 Mustang GT, 4.6L 5-speed. The motor is all factory. It has approx. 130K. Recently replaced the upper intake manifold, the stock plastic piece-of-shit cracked. Long story short, I replaced the manifold and the car runs excellent...… BUT I have a" Check Engine Light" on. I put it on the scanner. It reads: Engine miss-fire on cylinder 2 and 8. No too lean or rich.... Just the miss-fire. like i said it runs excellent, I can not feel the miss. I can hear it a little throught the exhaust, but it has no loss of power???? I have checked the plugs, there good and replaced the coil packs, the code is still present. Not sure what is going on????? Suggestions will be a great help, thanks guys.

Not sure what you mean by count #. The miss-fire is #2 and #8. Not sure of the actual code#. This IS an on going problem.... I was told to change the plug wires?

You can check for vacuum with a small propane tank and a hose they have this little clicker that shoots burst of propane, you run the hose along any possible areas of leakage while shooting propane when you hear the engine idle change rapidly you found your leak maybe u can try that

Change ALL the spark plugs. Use di-electric grease on the spark plug to boot ends.
