We put a 255 walboro in my buddies 5.0 & you can hear it from outside the car. Kind of a hissing noise. But the 190 FRPP one I have in my car is whisper quiet. Wondering if its normal operating noise for aftermarket pumps or what.

Your fuel pump housing may not be snapped in properly, or you may just be lower on fuel and the pump is cavitating.

Mine did the same thing when putting in the 255 w. But only when the tank was Full. After about a quarter tank you couldn't hear it anymore. Never knew why or cared.
