iam trying to work on my dads 66 and just bought brand new arms complete kit and bbk for he front.
for some reason iam havin the hardest time to take off the front springs.i got the metal shiled of,covering the top part of the springs. even with a spring compressor i cant compress enough to releave tension.
if you have some kind of hint/trick to pull this out.thanks in advance...

make sure you have a coil compressor tool not the one for struts. I usually drop it in from the top where the shock attach to... [ March 25, 2009, 02:47 PM: Message edited by: 68dustin ]

yep, you need the Internal sprind compressor. Pull the shock out, drop the spring compressor in.
