i have a powermaster 130 amp alternator, i hooked it up the way the website said too, but its not working right, its consistantly reading around 11-12 volts until u drive it than it drops back. any help will be greatly appreciated thanxs

sounds like u might have a bad ground

Same thing on mine but with 3g alt. I put a smaller alt. pulley on and it fixed the problem.

Ya check the pulleys and belt tesion i had one overcharge on me and had to change my pulleys.

Use your original pulley from the old alternator. It's smaller and free.

the alternator does have my stock original pulley on it, i swapped it cuzz it didnt come with one. did the powermaster originally come with a bigger pulley other than stock size ?

Now that, I do not know. The 3g I got came with a huge pulley. Car wouldn't charge at all. My stock pulley was actually very small and may not have been original now that I think about it. It was way to clean and very small in diameter. Sorry for the confusion but I do still think you need a smaller pulley. Where to get it is another story...maybe picknpull or someone on the board might have one laying around. I'll check my old box of parts when I get home. If I find one I'll just give it to you.

koo, thanks a lot, every help is appreciated. hopefully the pulley is the problem, cuz i jus installed an electric fan on it too and would hate to put the stock one back on.
