I have an '87 5.0 and I need to upgrade my stock alternator. What is highest amperage I can install and just plug and play without modifying anything?

You can do a 200amp with very little modification.

you can do 130 amp out of a Taurus for cheap, think mine cost $50 said and done, ill try to find you the website that shows you how to modify the alternator to fit on the fox brackets.
