My next step in my car project is to upgrade the intake side of my car (plus fuel injectors). I am leaning towards getting a lightning maf and new fuel injectors. Most people have already told me that I would need 42lb injectors, but I am wondering if that is too small. I did the calculation (estimated or desired hp:500, BSFC:.6, # of injectors:8, injector duty cycle:.80) and it is coming out Fuel Rate-46.87 & cc/mm-492.19. This tells me that 42lb injectors are simply too small for my application (plus I really want to dump the FMU so my upper tune levels can be controlled versus the FMU's job just to pour fuel out when it hits the vacuum).
Anyway I am a firm believer in buying a part ONCE. So I am wondering if 60lb injectors would be okay to use? I can control high/low slopes of the fuel tables as well as modify the maf transfer function. I am just wondering if anyone here was in the same boat as me and had difficulties tuning with these large of injectors (especially when the injectors will probably have to be "metered down" in a tune via the tuning tables or transfer function. I am thinking that it is not a big deal, but I just want to hear your stories...any tuning pro's in here?
Btw..for fuel I have the stock 24s, FMU, 255 Hi pressure in the tank, and a 255lph (inline) fuel pump.

How much boost are you running? Sounds like you may need to go bigger than 42's if you are putting at 500hp at the wheels.

Seeing 12 psi vacuum from the guage/manifold. The 500 is a questimate on where I think I should be at.
