Anybody running of their long blocks or short blocks? I was looking at there pro bullet block all forged and it has different add ons depending on your application. How well do these blocks hold up? Will I be okay running their 306 pro bullet with some h/c/I and a s trim.

That's scary budget is tight for projects and if I spend 2k and above on a block I want it to be problem free. Hmmm

Go local = peace of mind. There is nothing worse then mail ordering a motor..installing it...putting all the aftermarket pieces on(ie turbo or something) and then realizing that the motor is junk (was not put together correctly).
Guess what...you now have to send the hulk of metal back and fight for a warranty claim (from a distance).

Engines last as long as how well its built and driven. Thatd be a good 4-500 horse motor and real street pounder and if built right and not abused last a long while. If your really concerned about blowing it up try horsepowersales.com's small block ford lifter valley girdles. Theyre like $250 and theyve ran 1000 hp on a STOCK block reliably! Well worth it i run one on my 349 no blower but 12.5:1 compression and a 300 shot fogger so far so good. Heres the link http://www.jegs.com/vs/Horsepower+Sales/485
