my car makes a ticking noise during light braking sounds like its coming from the rear
any comments?
i took the drums off and evrything appears to be normal except that the axles have more than normal play in them...possibly the wheel bearings

the axles having play is normal when the drum is off. the reason it has play is because of the C-clips..
i never really heard of a ticking noise when braking, its either squeak, grind or moan. if you hear a tick, might be a tiny rock inside the drum and while it rotates, you can hear a tic noise

Does the tick occur when the car is braking, but in nuetral so the engine idling? Does the tick change with speed?
