I PUT IN AN 5.0 EXPLORER INTAKE IN MY CAR AND ITS NOT STARTING AND ITS BACKFIRING ! IT MIGHT B THAT I PUT IN MY DISTRIBUTOR IN WRONG NOT SURE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS !!!!! ANYONE KNOWS WHAT IS IS LET ME KNW ASAP.

your timing is off, rotor should point to number 1 on your dist cap with number one piston TDC on compression stroke. also check your firing order on yor cap

Oh, and how do i find TDC? I heard you can replace the spark plug with tissue and turn the crank until it pops out, can anyone confirm this?

thatll work... also on your damper look for TDC the pointer should be directly above the markings TDC

ok i managed to get it runing now its smoking alot from the exhaust and the egine is shaking alot

DID U DRAIN YOUR COOLANT BEFOR YOU REMOVED YOUR LOWER INTAKE AND CHECK YOUR WIRES FOR DAMAGE
