I've also ran a Tri-ax lower with a pro 5.0 handle and that felt ok too, its all personal preference i suggest that you put one on and slam some gears, switch the hande, try it again and so on to find the combo that'll work for you best. I personally have used the tri-ax in the last 3 I put together. I never missed a shift and never hurt a transmission with one. They are not a soft shifter.
