Are you installing another in tank pump or an inline pump? I would not wire a pump to a switch permenently

I would buy a new/used harness or try and fix the existing one. I think you will have tons of problems if you try and rig something up.

You can hard wire the fuel pump. But you need to do it coreectly. You will need 10 gaug wire a 30 amp relay and a switched 12 volt source. Wire a switched 12 volt source to the relay and 10 gauge wire to the relay. Then run the 10 gauge wire back to the fuel pump. This would be the correct way to hard wire a fuel pump. You will more than likely end up over heating the switch and causing a BBQ. It is the same deal when wiring a electric fan, it draws to much constant current and over loading the circuit and causing a melt dowm. A relay can hold a stronger current and will help protect the circuit from over load and causing problems.
