just got a summit aluminum radiator and wondering if I should buy any special coolant or mix it different. I usually just buy the 50/50 premix stuff.

just run the regular stuff, you could even use some water wetter. shouldnt have any problems.

Use straight antifreeze then add a bottle of waterwetter by redline. u'll be o.k.

in our climate you can use a 70% water 30% coolant. water has better heat transfer

The waterwetter makes up for it. Water has a lower boiling point than the antifreeze.

yeah I have a 160 thermostat and im thinking thats too cold, i swear on the freeway the temp doesnt go above 140. Im going to throw in a 185 soon.

180 is good. 160 is too low will run real rich and won't go into closed loop

I took my thermo out, havnt had any problems I heard it's better?was I miss informed? What problems can I be looking at? 86 supercharged car
