i have 4:10 in my vert w/ aod and it's fine because of the gearing is so tall. I go on the freeway at 65 mph at 2400 rpm. AS for the speedo question, you need to know what transmission you have or if you have swapped one from another know what year it came from because it will matter with the speedo tooth gear because they are different and i can tell you which one you need. Steeda has some great descriptions on speedo tooth gears. That's how I learned the differences between them. They are fairly cheap too.

i know the 3.73 and 4.10 speedo gears are the same i believe its a 23 tooth gear and as far as the year of the trans goes i dont think it matters cause the speedo cables are the same. Not sure.

The speedo gear is supposed to be the purple one
375-D0OZ-17271-B at Steeda I believe.
As for speed on the freeway, you can use this calculator to check your RPMs
