That car doesnt look like its built for that kind of track. Thats clean work. Not too many people do things the right way.

That's dope. Especially for having done the work yourselves. You got plans to put the suspension to use b4 the rain hits?

One quick question, why do you still have upper control arms with Torque Arm?

Thats what I was wondering??? Running the upper control arms completely defeats the purpose of running the torque arm & those uppers are gonna cause suspension bind that installing a tq arm alone wouldve eliminated... Now with both installed, the tq arm is just gonna be added weight because it wont be utilized correctly...
Regardless the setup looks sick, I like the red powdercoating too.Im jealous bro, I have had that tq arm setup sitting in the box on my garage floor for over a year & have yet to get it installed because its PRICEY!!!!
BTW, where did you guys do this install?? Im looking for someone to install mine..... [ October 03, 2008, 08:19 PM: Message edited by: EPIK ]

just in that one picture i left the upper control arms in. after i took that pic 5 minutes later i took the upper control arms out. the whole reason i did the torque arm an pan hard bar conversion was because i had ripped the upper left control arm off the tach welds an inch. That made my axel shift over just enough to rub on my fuel line. So i talked to some pro's about how to fix it with the HP it was makeing and the money i was willing to spend. They told me the pan hard bar and torque arm will be the best bet for my application. In the end i wasnt trippen on the money so i did it the only way i knew how "LIKE A BOSS". one more thing you wanted to know where i did the work, check out the pic, i did it at my house in the garage.

Oh ok....BOSS UP!!!!
So you welded on the mounting tabs for the tq arm & set the pinion angle @ the house on the garage floor??

after the tq arm and panhard bar was is position. My friend Vince came over with his welder and tacked up the tabs layen on his back. Before he welded the pinion angele was set according to directions. To do this i had the car on jackstands at 4 different areas of the frame. Then i let the rear suspention hang free. With angle finder tool i set the pinion angle according to specs. I'm not going to lye it took a few calls to the tech at maximum motorsports to finally get the pinion angle set just right. In the end it all worked out and everything was set correctly.I just took my time and did not rush things. The car runs great. Before the change when wheels would break loose it would get real squirlly and loose. Now it feels like a tank, when i accellerate 1st and 2nd gear it feels like it stays real low in a strate line with extreme traction. By far one of the best upgrades along with the front end conversion. Both front and back upgrades were done one after the other. [ October 05, 2008, 01:45 AM: Message edited by: 01GT#1STUNA ]

The Tq arm u are talking about is the standard duty version. The tq arm I purchased from MM is the HD version & it can handle up to 900rwtq...My measly 327rwtq wont even come close to comprimising its strength LOL!!!! That is if I ever get it installed!!!

just like epik i purchased the 900 RWT TQ setup also.I knew sooner or later i would get used to 432 rwhp and when that happens i would need my tq arm to handle more power.
