Do turn downs hurt your Powerband compaired to having a catback sys. after the mufflers?
I currentlly have some Hooker 1 5/8 SuperComp LongTubes w/ 3in. collectors and matching Hooker O/R H-Pipe 3in-2.5 to install and Mufflers are MagnaFlow.
Thanks guys

fms short headers, bbk xpipe, 2 chamber turndowns and my car doesn't sound like any mustang I've ever heard.
BUT to this day I kick myself for getting rid of my pipes. DON"T GO TURN DOWN in my opinion. Keep it classic clean with tails. Unless its a GT then yeah cut that ugly shit off LOL

My car currently has MagnaFlow Mufflers with FlowMaster catback and it's a 93 GT. I have a Cobra back bumper also so I think I'll keep the CB and just add some some tips to make it look clean Thanks for the replies.

You wont. They are 200hp cars. Turndowns get annoying real fast. But I guess when your young its easier to deal with. I personally like it quiet in the car.

I doubt you will see much diff between full tail pipes and turn downs. Your car will be louder and probably even get some exhaust smell in the car.
I would personally go with full 2 1/2" exhaust.

i've never smelled exhaust with my turn downs, you'd only smell exhaust if your ride isn't running good at all. I've had my turndowns/dumps for 4+ years and i want it to be louder, i am putting dumps/turndowns on my 68 Fastback with the 532ci motor, can't wait. After a while turn downs get old. Also your car gets dirty REALLY REALLY fast if you drive it through any loose dirt area.
