I went and bought a tool to do it, but it seems to be not working. How in the hell do you disconnect the return fuel line/disconnect the coupler?

kinda tricky but not too bad. U'll b using the 1/2" so this is how. As you have the tool on the coupler, push it in gently as u pull the opposite side. remember that the tool HAS to be pushed inside far enuff to hav it release.

man i just a small pocket flat head screw driver its just a clip. Just be careful because it can break. I suggest buying a new one from ford after you get done and that goes for the pressure line too.

There are clips on the fuel filter, the front rails are springs. A pocket screwdriver for this task wouldn't be too useful.

Use the 1/2 and the 3/8 for the front lines. Take the retainers off, place the tool in the line, 1/2 for the 1/2 line and 3/8 for the 3/8 line, press and pull. Should pop out sometimes a little tricky.
