I got some used autometer electric gauges. Iam having trouble wiring them. Its a oil,temp, and a volt. I they say [G/S/I] in the back. I assume G=ground / S is for the sending unit / I for a 12 volt source. So if i wire them like this they neddle reads max as soon as I open the key but it reads lowest before they key is opened. Can someone HELP? THANKS!

"I" is for 12-volt Keyed ignition source...not straight 12v power. There's your problem.

It sounds like the S wire is going to ground.
