Which Optima battery should I run in my 96 cobra? I know a yellow top but does anyone know the model#. The Optima website does not show one for my year.

they're pretty universal, just measure your battery, then measure the optima you want at the store, buy the one that is closest in size that has same post style.

So the cranking amps cold cranking amps and reserve dont' matter? My current battery is CA/675 CCA/540 Reserve Capacity 90. My local Costco sells the yellow top but the Cranking amp is like 850 if I remember correctly. Would that be okay?

ya its better than the battery you have right now , i got the hook up on optimas how much are they at costco

it's a stronger battery, the cranking amps is a rating of what it can put out, your starter will only draw as much as it needs and the battery will give it as much as it can up to that amount.


a stronger battery is better, hence why people use optima's.
