ECU wiring harness from a 1989 5.0
MAF ECU, like an A9L, or A9P, etc
MAF sensor
new air intake tubing setup for a MAF car.

but why are you looking to convert? stock vs stock, the SD cars are FASTER.

the only advantage to a MAF setup is not needing a custom tune to work with a head/cam swap that would alter the vacuum of the car...

I heard once you start putting more power in the car,its easier to tune and more accurate using a maf. If i end up needing bigger injectors, how does the car adapt to that with out having a maf.?

you can use a twEECer R/T and tune the SD setup just as easily as the MAF setup, for any combo, it's just as much work to tune either, but with SD you have one less sensor to worry about swapping out whenever you add more power or change injectors...

sd is not faster......its less accurate also. MAF is an upgrade from sd so hows sd better?? also, when u upgrade your injectors the way to trigger the computer to send more fuel is the adjustable fuel pressure regulator. its stock at 38 and u change it to 43 i believe. do some research, i have a 87 converted to maf. why do you think everyone wants to convert if sd is better!?!?!

I converted mine and lost 4mph in the 1/4 mile with MAF.

it's not better, it's more adaptable to mods that effect vacuum, stock vs stock SD cars are faster.

I've seen a ton because they were told "it's better" only to find out their car is now slower after spending a couple hundred dollars and a weekend of work.

also, if you're getting a dyno tune done, or whatever, it's just as easy to tune a SD car as a MAF car, some say it's easier because of one less variable in the MAF. If you're truly changing a lot of the air/fuel demands than the MAF will need a tune at some point as well because it won't be able to adapt.
