If it's OBD 1 (87-93 5.0) then just use a wire and read the codes off of the CEL.

If it's OBD 2 then just go to Autozone and borrow a code scanner for free [ February 29, 2008, 02:36 PM: Message edited by: 92stangLX ]

81 is the mass air problems i believe. the other one though i dont have a turbo/supercharger so this makes no sense. and for the fuel pump, i can hear it work when i turn the key before starting so does this mean its stuck or something??? let me know, thanks for the help! that's alot of codes to throw all at once, I usually record codes, then clear them all and run it to see wich ones come back first, also if you get alot of unrelated codes at once, it is more likley to have a bad connection at your computer or wiring harness. Might try taking them apart and spraying some electrical contact cleaner in the connections.

FYI, some codes have different meanings on different Ford products. When you have multiple codes it may be one item bad, but it will set off other codes that may not really be the problem. And like 1320 said, clear the codes and see what comes up first. and that should be your primary problem. [ March 03, 2008, 01:51 AM: Message edited by: Ricks Hot Rod Lincoln ]

i appreciate all the help! i cleared the codes already and it pulls
81 82 memmory 95
someone said because of my gt40 intake manifold 81 and 82 is the cause of that. than the 95 is supposed to be a 'hiccup' in the fuelline, seems to be pumping fuel fine though....any other suggestions ?
