Havent had a horn since i bought the car, so i thought there might be some kind of wiring issue, or just had to replace the old horn, but when i opened up the button it was just a wire that wasnt connected, i attached the wire, but the horn just constantly honks.

Help, does anyone know what i have to do to get my horn honking only on demand. THANKS

what year is it? my horn did the same thing on my 89, turned out the foam behind the button was worn out in one corner so that part always made contact. Put in new thicker foam and fixed it.

GOOD LORD the idiots are loose in the Tech section.... Mitch, if you're anywhere near purple notch/Shaun, I'd take him up on helping you out with the situation. His prices are MORE THAN FAIR and work is honestly top notch. He'll be able to help you with the speaker situation as well!

First I tried to add foam then realized that was stupid. Went to pick N pull and you literally just pull the horn pad off with your hands. I found a mint condition pad with foam at the junk yard, put it in my pocket and was done. Cost was $2 to enter the yard. There is a ground wire under the hood up front by the driver side headlight area. Pull it if your horn wont stop blowing,...'should' disconnect it so you can drive the car around. Good luck...hope its as easy as mine was. If not I do hear good things about purple notch and from seeing his old notch in person you'd agree.
