Topic: when to swap computer

so i have a 87 fox 5.0 I was wondering with what mods do i need to upgrade to a higher computer model and get the maf. Basically i would like to get by without swapping the computer/maf. I plan on the regulars: Intake header, exhaust header, H-pipe, #24 injectors and 65 throttle body. Could i get away with that or should i change the comp and get a mass air? you pretty much need to just get a A9L ECU and a MAF with a harness, some wire, and solder some shit up and get it done!!!
no butt connectors..PLEASE!!!

you don't need 24# injectors with that setup.
you don't need to swap to MAF until you do something to change the vacuum or fuel demands, ie a cam swap, or heads.
you'll lose power converting to MAF from SD with the mods you listed.
