i just installed some bolt ons to my 5.0 like underdrive pulleys,headers,h-pipe,65mmtb,and a bbk cold air and for some reason now when my car is 1/2 tank or below in fuel it tends to bog when i take off or i shift to 2nd gear at high rpm. i know people that have done these upgrades with no problem. when the car has a full tank it is a beuty but as soon as it gets to half tank it bogs. it doesnt do it at every take off but its unpredictable. i just bought a fuel filter hoping that will solve it.

Change the fuel filter. Also, you may have broken the baffles in your fuel tank.
Do you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator? You may try playing with the fuel pressure a bit to see what happens.

ma 87 hatch used to do the same thing id bog out n backfire..i just changed my cap and rotor and it went away...maybe some other ignition problem?
