I finally put my 331 into the stang, but I have a problem. The oil pressure when the car is cold is around 60 psi and after it warms up it drops to 5 psi. I bought the motor used off a friend and it only has about 3,000 miles since built. I'm thinking a bad oil pump, but what else should I be looking at?

Doubt it is a bad oil pump. Do you have a mechanical test gauge to verify your readings? Throw some 20-50 wt in it.

you need 10 psi per 1000 rpm. change for 20-50 and report back. could be tolerances that are too lose or another reason (bad oil galley plug, etc) you are bleeding pressure
