im debating on wether or not to put a g-force t-5 or tko in my 67 cougar as it is right now i have a t-5z and if a tko will bolt up( i do realize i gotta swap yoke and clutch disc) then this may sway my decision. it would be nice to be able to reuse the bell housing rather than pony up 200-250 more bucks for one!

I don't think it will work i think it's the 4 sped bellhousing that works with the tko.

I used the McCleod 8660 steel bellhousing with my TKO. Says for use with T5, Tremec 3550 & TKO long shaft transmissions. 6.733" deep w/o motor plate. The 4spd bellousing is shorter.

well the thing is i have a stock bell housing and sure a scatter shield would be great but i am looking to get it into the car and installing a scatter shield later will not be a big deal just a few hours in the driveway. i think that there may be a difference in the bolt pattern and thats why the McCleod worked. any other tko users here? i know my tko wouldn't work with the 5-t bell. but it would bolt up to a v8 srod 4 speed out of a fox. on the t-5 the bolt pattern is different then the srod bell. now as for the how deep the srod bell is compared to the t5 i have no clue.

You need a 3550/TKO specific bellhousing. A SROD is still to shallow.

I used a 4spd bell housing on my tko. A t5 bellhousing will not work.
