is the f150 trac loc worthwhile, or is going with a auburn/eaton/etc a better choice?

Its the 31-spline trac-loc right? i've heard they are just as good as an aftermarket 31-spline posi. And if they are not as good as aftermarket, then the performance difference is negligable and not worth the price difference IMO
If it means anything, i believe i read that JohnB runs it in at least one of his heated ass cobras.

Yes, its worth going too. Especially since you can get a used unit off fleebay for about $30-$80. Spend $50 for a rebuild kit and you have a perfect 31 spline unit. I went that route myself.

Yup, I'm running one in both of my Cobras. The one in the Teal 93 has 100+ passes on it and who-knows-how-many "hey, watch this" passes while out with co-workers for lunch. No problems!
