Hey Guys. I have a 91' LX that I'm trying to lower in my driveway but need the mcpherson coil/strut compressor for an easy and safe swap but found out that its is worth like a million dollars($200) to buy. Any body have 1 I can rent or buy off them for a good price. Or any recommendations on how to do this safely????
Thanks.

Rent it from a local auto parts chain (Autozone, Pep Boys, Kragen, etc).
Also if your car has a lot of miles replace the spring isolator cups while you are at it. They are easy to replace with the springs being changed.

Thanks man, but I've tried those places and all they have is a universal type tool. I dont know if I was installing the tool wrong but it wouldnt fit, it seemed to be to big.

I haven't been able to rent one that works yet. The easiest way I have found is have someone else help you by working the jack, while you pry it in with a crow bar. I did one side of my car by myself = 4 hours and a lot of cussing. My girl helped me on the second side = 5 minutes.
