I was trying to advance the timing in the mustang and I realized there was a problem. When I try to turn it, it wouldnt move because there is a plug on the side of the distrib that is touching the alternator bracket. Therefore it wont let me advance.
Anyone see this before? If I undo the distrib lift it out and turn it couter clockwise then reseat it might allow me more room to advance. Is there any issues doing this?
If you look close here you will see the plug, mine isnt in the middle, its off to the left at almost 8 o'clock [ September 21, 2007, 05:56 PM: Message edited by: mastercudaz ]

oh ok. I am not sure how it got so far turned.
But this is just a pic I found online, not my car. I should take a pic of mine so you can see what I mean.
