ok so if i go to start my car it barely starts and then runs for like 2-5 seconds then it dies. how do i check to see if the injectors are working without actually taking off the upper? or any other ideas???

Go get an automotive "Stethoscope" from Kragens or Autozone and put it up against the injectors to listen for clicking. You can also do it with a long screwdriver to your ear.

Could be a clogged fuel filter too.

Check for vaccuum leaks. Also, try setting the idle using the adjuster screw. If it start then it is getting fuel (at least for a while). Also, check your plugs to see if they are fouled.

brand new plugs... but really the only way to make it run is to put a lil gas on the filter, other than that it doesnt really start. thats y i wannna know how to check the injectors. but it does have fuel to the rails

pressure regulator...timing....tps.

fuel pump dont matter. its metered either way.

Have you checked the fuel pump run relay? It sounds like it is pressurizing the system at statup, but then the run relay isnt kicking in after startup to keep the engine running. You could test it by jumpimg across the pigtail that plugs into it.
