then maybe you should consider a re ring and bearing job on your 5.0.
What is your ultimate goal?
How do you want to make your power? Naturally aspirated or nitrous? blower? turbo?
How streetable?
Smoggable?
Once you decide all of that then go from there in regards to whether you want a stock block, aftermarket block, what cubes, what heads, what cam etc you are going to run.
Then go stroker shopping because when you find your "kit" you will want to order it based on your needs.

I dont know how happy you will be with the E cam.
I would look into that, further.
Now is a good time to knock some compression out of your motor when you order your kit. Get you a nice blower friendly piston that will work with your eddy heads when you order your stroker kit.
I have seen several STOCK blocks split in half before melting hyperuetectic pistons but with the added cost being 150-250 more for a forged piston rotating assembly I would go for it now, that way if down the road you want more power you can transfer this rotating assembly over to an aftermarket block with no worries.
I had good luck with both my 331 kits from CHP and that was over 6 years ago.
Now they are getting cheaper.
