I want to know your set up's / advice on suspension. I want good quality shocks and springs I want to lower it 1" all around. Are drag springs good for handling. Do they make drag oreinted leaf springs? I would prefer 5 leaf (are mid eye the best design) I've heard good things about Koni's and Tokico's. Also what # springs should I get. I have a 302 (not sure if much heavier then 289). Thanks for your help!

Sky's the limit when it comes to suspension [Smile]

I used to have 600lb (or maybe 620lb) coils up front and heavy duty leaves in the back. I was using Kyb shocks and they worked ok (for the price). Tokico's are nice and are cheaper than Bilsteins or Koni's. Koni's are what were used on the early Shelby's.

Don't forget sway bars! Your car doesn't have a rear one so I would get 1/2" for the rear. Upgrade the front bar as well. Also, install an export brace and Monte Carlo bar. Get some subframe connectors as well.

Your car will handle soooooo much better!

EDIT: If you are looking for something a bit more advanced check out the Global West products. Also, Mustangs Plus in Stockton can probably give you some really good advice aobut suspension www.mustangsplus.com

if your not going to go coilover i'd say check out maier racing i think they are the best around for stock style setup....if you have around 2,100.00 to spend i'd go with tcp total control products.
About the rear if you go with leafs i'd run mid eye if you only want about a one inch drop..rev.is about 1.5
Again if you have the money you can buy a bolt in fourlink with coilovers or upgrade to airride
from tcp 1,500-2,500 your car will handle pretty damn good [Big Grin]
