hey yall I have a 89 lx with a cobra intake possible cam dont know because the idle is a little chopy got the car as it is dont really know the history of the add on parts. currently im trying to pass smog and the co% is at 10 I think it should be @ 14 any body have any suggestions. also the check engine light comes on and off and the modis scanner just says enging rpm un controllable at low rpm oh yea and i hooked up a vaccum gage and at idle its 15 lbs i think it should be at 20. some was saying the cats coukd be hollow or perhapps cooked .

I applied a vaccum pump to the egr asnd the engine stumbled where next should i check in the egr system ?

well if it has bad idle check for vac leaks.then check the idle motor.Make sure your tps is under 9 tenths of a volt after base idle is set.Also make sure the tps reads correctly from idle to wide open.should be .890 or so at idle to 4.5 to 4.7 at wide open.
