Im planning on getting an X pipe in the next week or two for my 98 GT....wondering if its worth taking to an exhaust shop? I know a couple people on here are always willing to do installs...if interested let me know. I live on the Penninsula.

Shouldn't be that hard if you have someone to help you out. All you need to do is un bolt the old one and bolt the new one back in. Sometimes it helps to loosen the cat back so that you have some more wiggle room under there. Also, make sure you have a few socket extensions and maybe a swivel.
Just grab a 12 pack and invite one of your wrenching buds over

is it new or used? last x-pipe i bought was used and the cups were ovaled. I tried for a solid week to get them to seal. Took it to an exhaust shop, they cut some inserts and whalla, good to go.
Even new they sometimes don't seal.
I say try to do it yourself and if you can't do it then pay someone.

Its pretty easy all the way up until the bolts at the right exhaust manifold. That is the biggest pain in the ass spot there.
