i'm want to get a spare key and alarm remote for my 1998 mustang and was wondering what are my options? it's a ford factory alarm, so is my only bet to go to ford? any idea on how much they would charge for such a thing?

you can get another key and transmitter from ford.. itll be about 100 or 150.. can't remember.. how many keys do you have for the car? they will have to go into the pats module and program a new key and remote..

You can get another transmitter from ebay for less than 30 dollars and add it yourself.
They will usually give you programming instructions with the transmitter.

Make sure the top numbers on your existing transmitter match the one you are purchasing.
