its on a 89 mustang 5.0 5spd i thought a A9L was a 5spd computer what is a A9S computer

It is an auto computer but will work perfect on the manual trans.

I had a a9s cpu in my original owner 89 gt with 5spd and 112k miles..I Never changed the tranny.
the a9l and a9s are pretty much the same.just slightly differnt emission program

yes, the're really not that different.
the a9s cpu was exclusivly for California emissions 5.0h's.The a9l has more timing in the mid to wot range and does'nt reduce timing duing shifts from what I heard,but i may be wrong .
