Just wanted to check and make sure I was getting the rite gasket. It's the fel pro MLS "multi layer steel" small block ford gasket #1152. I am almost positive it's the rite one but just wanted to double check with the expert's. Oh and just wanted people to know if You are using a MLS gasket which is probably what You want to use "for aluminum head's and steel block" then You need to have the head's surfaced to an ultra smooth finish or You will probably lift a head gasket under boost as I did.

You need to have the block surface finished the same or it's a waste...

Is that a fel pro gasket? This is the only fel pro MLS gasket that they had listed. Is there any reason that I should'nt use this one? Thank's for the input!

That suck's . Well if it hold's as long as the last one did then I can live with it. I am just happy that it pushed the gasket up instead of detonation taking it out cause then I would be wondering about My tune .

If you had detonation take out a headgasket before think about what will happen with an MLS gasket... You'll destroy the pistons. I like the idea of having "fuse". I did run the fel-pro 1133 gaskets and blew the ring lands off a couple pistons from a little detonation. Now I don't use MLS gaskets.

The best thing about these, is you can pick them up at any autozone or local part joint. They are a common gasket. I have run 12 lbs of boost on these and never blown one. It is all in the tune.

OK I guess I will ditch the MLS gasket idea and go with the proven combo.
