I just bought a used origional 1993 cobra intake upper lower for my fox, just wondering what I need to install on stock motor aside from bolts and upper to lower gasket. What gaskets should I use to bolt lower to stock heads, do need to change injector O-rings what else. Thanks

just buy a gasket set for a 93 cobra and everything should line up. dont need to change the o rings unless they are crap. just give them a coat of engine oil before you put them back on. you might need the vacuum lines on the upper intake if yours didnt come with them. you have to block off the coolant line to the throttle body. its a pretty straight forward swap

so, is this a performance upgrade?? if so, what kind of gains would this make, throttle response?? any info would be great!!

When you install the lower intake use a bead of rtv (the orange shit) on the front and back instead of that cork shit. You may also want to change the thermostat and PCV valve while you are at it.
Make sure you mark the distributor before you pull it out. If not your timing will be all fucked up
I would also upgrade the throttle body to a 65mm unit.

are the lower gaskets to heads the same as stock, I only ask because have a set lying around. If not do I get the felpro #1250. what part stores can you get stainless bolts long enough for the intake, I was thinking about getting a phenolic spacer cause they come with bolts.

I believe they're the same, but do yourself the justice by getting the felpro 1250's. Those are probably the best gaskets for manifold swaps, even though they cost quite a bit more. As 92LX said, don't use that cork end seals because overall they just suck. I bet the Fel-Pro guys don't even use them when they're doing manifold jobs! As far as bolts go, good luck with that one. My Cobra manifold has the phenolic spacer so the bolts came with it, but without the spacer the bolts are hard to find. Maybe you could call ARP and see if they make a bolt kit for it. Or else go to a dealership and tell them you have a 93 cobra...either way you're going to have some wait time for the bolts. Other than that, it's a pretty straightforward swap.
