What type of oil does everyone use for their daily driven stangs. Brand and weight? What is recommended?
Also is there any downsides to using 20/50w oil on a DD? This is for a 87-93 5.0

I use 20/50 Castrol in my 89 mustang. 164,000 miles on it. Car seems to like it. Oil is always pretty clean when I drain it.
97 Audi I use 5/30 Castrol. 76,000 miles I wish I could afford synthetic for that car but I can't so regular 5/30 for that. Car is 'ok' on it. I can feel the performace difference between the two. Smoother and more responsive with the synthetic.
70 VW Ghia I use 20/50 Castrol 142,000 miles give or take 100,000. DMV fucked up my pink slip and zero'd out the milage after I had all the paper work to prove the 142,000 miles, that beside the point. 20/50 -don't know how well the car like it yet.
In the 04 Pacifica 45,000 miles I use 10/30 Castrol, cars manual calls for 10/30 so F'it. I put 5/30 in it once because I bought a case for the Audi. Pacifica seemed ok on it but the 10/30 feels better,.could be in my head.
If you haven't noticed Castrol!! [ March 12, 2007, 04:24 PM: Message edited by: Jdub07 ]

Castrol 10w/30. My car has too many miles and burns oil too quickly to run synthetic. Its a waste of money for me.

Mobile 1 synthetic 15-50. But I've used Redline and Royal Purple in the same weight. All good stuff.
