What do you guys think about these alternators, what is the difference between the stock alternators and the 3G ones. What does 3G stand for? My 140 amp powermaster alternator just isn't doing it for me so i need a bigger one and i was wondering if these are any good? 50resto.com talks them up pretty good so i thought i would ask. any info will help, thanks

3G stands for third generation. I bought my alt. from another source and them bought the pa performance install kit they offer. It was like night and day for my car and I have no stereo system to speak of.
Get it, you'll be glad you did.

I believe the 3G alternators are like 130 amps.

My buddy mike has a PA 200 amper for sale. He's letting it go for 200 bucks. Hell of a deal less the 300 miles on it.
