So forced induction is air added to the intake right? Superchargers are belt driven mechanical units, I am wondering about electrical forced induction, Yes, the leaf blower comes to mind but they have a bypass after a certain PSI I think atleast it seams that way. Is there a way to make a button controlled electrical forced induction system that could add a 100hp. I think its plausible? Maybe we need the mythbusters but whats your opinion, if its not 100hp could we add 50hp like a dry kit? I say yes but what electric blower motor would work? I guess in a way its like an added ram air kit.

They already make real electric superchargers, they are no cheaper than normal belt driven units, they look similar too. Never seen one on a car though. They make fake ones on ebay too lol.

That looks like a piece of eShit. 1 psi what a waste of money you could probably get more than 1 psi with a ram air kit.

in order to get an electric supercharger to produce 1000cfm or better at 5psi, you'd need an electric supercharger the size of your engine to pull that off

for a conventional crank driven blower to produce 8PSI for our 4.6 and 5.0 engines all the way to redline it needs to eat 50-70hp or more (depending on type) worth of energy at the top end. To create 60hp from an electric motor requires 44,742watts of electricity or, 44KW. That's equivalent to 3,728.5 amps at 12V or if you want to run it off an inverter, then 406amps at 110v. Show me a car with enough generator/alternator power to supply 3,728.5 amps. This is the reason that nearly all devices which have to move air on such a scale by electric means use 3 phase 220V systems. Then you only need 67 amps per 220V AC circuit to get all that air from here to there.
BTW... pushing that much current would require a wire like 2" in diameter or it'll flatassed melt.
So, if you sit down and think about it like I just did, then do the math like I just did, you can see that anybody using a small calculator is smarter than anyone trying to electrically supercharge their car.
