Try a metric socket that almost fits and hammer it on. You will lose the socket but they are not too expensive to replace.

harbor freight sells a product called a "stud out" for $2
I used one last week to remove a completely round stripped bleeder screw on a caliper

i used vice grips to get mine of once...took a little while though
ps: make sure you buy a new bolt j/k

i seen some sockets at orchard supply harware that are made to remove stripped bolts

I had an upper one once that was stripped bad. The car was broken down in a parking lot and we had to move it so I put a bar under the starter, let the car down a few inches and broke the starter off. I had plenty of room to get the vice grips in then!

winchester auto has some hella nice sockets for that kinda shit. they have these teeth on them that work really good
