Well I am gonna remove my dash/cluster tomorrow out of my 79 stang. any tips anyone can throw at me? I know to lower the colum-remove the covers and unplug everything. Is the heater/ac box attached to the firewall or to the dash and can it be left while removing the dash?! thanks in advance.

Got it! I t only took me like 2 hours, drop the colum, pull out the gauges, remove center console, remove any connectors 6 bolts to hold it up and BAM! i have to get under the car to disconnect the neutral saftey plug on the side of the tranny! those connectors are a bitch to pull off, some of them brokke from being brittle with age! but its fool-proof to reconnect them since every one of them is different! now i gotta get a 5-speed pedal support and put it in with a new heater core! A/C cars are the Devil!
