Yes use it. I actually use Rotella T in my track car all the time. Rotella and Delo are the only decent(non synthetic) oils that are left. Both still have high levels of Zinc and Manganese in them, unlike off the shelf Castrol, Penz, and all the other junk out there. Roller cams don't have near the failure rate of the older solid/hydraulic stuff, but it's still nice to the insurance.

what is good oil to use after the first 30 min of break in? and then for the rest of the motors life.. Which oil would protect my motor the best? It will be raced.

I have heard builders recommend running regular oil for the 1st thousand or so mile and then switch to synthetic for sure. Redline is probably the best.

Put a couple thousand miles using regular oil then switch to Mobil 1. I use it in all my cars and we run it in our race car as well.

be advised running a 15w40 weight will make your engine smoke..so i would change it out soon as you feel confident in the break in process

I too have used regular oil for break in and then switch to a full synthetic after that.
I've been using Royal Purple products in my Cobra for all fluid needs.

I use Shell Rotella even in my bikes! Good shit! I'm using the full synthetic Rotella T in the blue bottle as of now on my ZX10.
