Will a late 80's carburated block work as a efi motor? Does it have all the necessary things to do a direct conversion to a standard 5.0 efi from an 88-93?

It should work. People have done EFI conversions on old school carb'd Mustangs. Check out this link:

An answer to your question about the EFI working with that year motor is, yes it will.

i just found out that the roller cam will not work....damn...anyone want a block for cheap?
