check engine light went on a few days ago out of nowhere. the oil level was fine but i changed the oil and filters anyways with 10w30. what could be the problem?

the oil level sensor is located in the side of the oil pan above the drain plug, if you unplug it that light will be disabled, the sensor is easy to swap, it threads into the side of the pan.
