All,
I am about to swap/slam my fox and wanted to know how are kyb shocks? Any recommendations would help. I would like to know if a 1.5 inch drop would be enough for 18"/16" wheels.
thanks.

kyb's are pretty horrible.
go with bilsteins, koni's, or tokiko adjustable's.

if the car is leaning it's probably a spring installed wrong, or the torque boxes are torn.
nothing to do with the shocks.
shocks have to do with dampening, a bad shock will show signs of leakage.

Are torque boxes pricey to change?

they can't be changed, they are spot welded into the body of your car, they are what the control arms that hold the rearend bolt to.

some good shocks that are reasonable are the strange adjustable shocks and struts. there 10 way adjustable go from really stiff to a drag strut with just the turn of a knob. the struts are 120 each and the shocks are like 70 each through summit.

I have KYBs and their not the best, but they do the job. If your torque boxes are ripped/broken, Battle-Box makes a aftermarket set up that can be welded in. LMK my buddy in San Carlos can install then for ya.
